Le programme de travail d’Horizon Europe pour 2023-2024 prévoit un certain nombre d’appels visant la participation d’entités établies en Amérique du Nord, dont la participation peut être exigée ou encouragée, selon les cas.
Financement de la participation des États tiers de la région : d’une manière générale les entités établies dans des États tiers doivent supporter les coûts de leur participation, sauf cas exceptionnels.
Par ailleurs, les entités établies aux États-Unis sont automatiquement éligibles au financement dans le cadre des appels à projets du cluster santé.
Le Comité de coordination de la recherche du Canada (CCRC) a mis en place un mécanisme de cofinancement au sein de son : Fonds Nouvelles Frontières de la Recherche.
D’autre part, les chercheurs du Québec peuvent bénéficier d’un soutien dans le cadre d’un programme de soutien provincial pour la coopération internationale.
